IN CONCLUSION

Scott: How were your sessions?
Ed: Oh they were great. I learned so much today.
Scott: Do you have any final questions?
Ed: No. You were very thorough. Now I need to practice by getting help from a friend using a video camera. I can’t thank you enough, Scott.
Scott: I’m glad I could help.
Receptionist: How was your session today?
Ed: You know I really fell like I learned a lot today.
Receptionist: Fantastic.
Ed: Well thanks again and have a great day.
Receptionist: You too.
Scott: You may recall that the most important part of getting a job is selling yourself in the interview process. As you learn through Ed Johnson, the Real Benefit Exercise is a very powerful tool that will help you master this skill. We started by teaching Ed the acronym COP to help him learn the three steps of the Real Benefit Exercise. C stands for copying, O stands for organizing and P stands for repeated practice using a video camera. We also taught him the 10 Caveats of Interviewing. These are the most common interview mistakes. We applied all of this using several interview questions. We first showed the wrong way and the right way to apply each question and we critiqued each answer. We briefly covered two variations of the common one on one interview, telephone interview and the group or panel interview. We showed with minor variations how the Real Benefit Exercise could apply to both. Remember, mastery of the Real benefit Exercise will come with repeated practice in front of a video camera. Once you mastered the real Benefit Exercise you will dramatically improve your batting average on interviews and dramatically improve your probability of getting your next job.
