Scott Sargis, president of Strategic Search Corp. in Chicago, a technology executive search firm, said that demand for staffing remains soft, with fees under pressure.
“Companies aren’t bringing in more staffing because they’re squeezing more hours and work out of their existing employees,” Mr. Sargis said. “Fees, meanwhile have been headed lower. I’ve had to lower my own fees on some assignments.”
