Recruiting Growing: Pre-employment Background Checks Needed!
The pace of recruiting remains very strong. This is confirmed by the Labor Department report this morning that U.S. employers added 235,000 new workers last month. This was the 77th straight month of jobs creation!
Additionally, the unemployment rate fell to 4.7% as both workforce participation and employment rose. This tightening job market is putting upward pressure on long sluggish wage growth. Average hourly earnings for private-sector workers rose 0.2% in February from the prior month, a little below economists’ expectation for a 0.3% gain, and wages were up 2.8% from a year earlier.
Wide Spread Recruiting Increases!
Job gains in February were broad based, including a second straight month of strong construction hiring. This led to the labor-force participation rate in February rising to 63.0%.
This wide spread recruiting frenzy has also been noted by our technical recruiting and engineering recruitment divisions for more than 8 months. They have surveyed our technology candidates, other recruiters and employer staffing departments. All have consistently reported increasing job vacancies for our six key recruiting areas: scientific, engineering, R&D (Research and Development), IT (Information Technology) and manufacturing technology employment. This has been particularly true for recruitment of scientists, engineers and candidates in cutting-edge technology industries such as Big Data, AI (Artificial Intelligence), IoT (Internet of Things) and robotics, where the demand for talent far exceeds the supply!
Increases The Need For Pre-employment Background Checks
With so few excellent engineering, scientific and technical candidates available for many key technology job openings, many employers are forgetting to perform thorough employee background checks. Unfortunately, this may lead to hiring a job candidate with many problems such as drug offenses or criminal violations against them.
Additionally, many recruiters fail to perform extensive pre-employment background checks due to the cost and time involved. This often leads to supplying you faulty job candidates.
Strategic Search Accu-Check® Employment Screening
Luckily Strategic Search Corporation® retained searches include our extensive, unique and trademarked Accu-Check® pre-employment background checks, which are performed by our recruited national network of employment screening experts. They personally examine potential technical employees’ records at courthouses across the nation and uncover everything you need to know BEFORE you hire an engineer, scientist, R&D, IT, technical or manufacturing talent through us. We perform extensive pre-employment background checks including examining criminal and civil records like credit, bankruptcies, lawsuits and other reckless behaviors. We spend up to one hour on references. We dig deep by asking; re-asking and then restating reference questions in order to uncover “real” information about your candidate! We offer these comprehensive employee background checks COMPLIMENTARY as part of our retained searches.
Past Behavior Predicts Future Performance
In life, business and recruiting, history repeats itself. Someone’s past behavior is the strongest indication of how they’ll act in the future. That’s why technical, scientific and engineering talent with problems in their past are most likely to revisit those misdeeds with a future employer.
Risk Of Incomplete Employment Screening: Failed Hires!
With our jails overcrowding and over 90% of convicted felons never serving hard time in state prisons, you may not uncover a criminal past without in-depth criminal background checks.
Especially using Department of Corrections database-only searches, which are incomplete, inaccurate, rarely updated and only report the 10% of convicted felons who have served time in a state prison!
That is why you need our extensive employee background checks and recruiting efforts on your behalf!
Strategic Search Employment Screening Minimizes Your Risk!
Our unique and trademarked Accu-Check® investigative process employs a national network of employment screening professionals who physically examine county court records in EVERY jurisdiction where potential employees have resided in the last 7-10 years. They dig deep with our employment screening to ensure your needs are met. We even investigate our investigators, testing them routinely so your reputation and assets are not at risk.
