Clay has spoken at over 100 sessions, and has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, PC Week, Wired Magazine, Smart Money, several books, and other publications.

Bruce Clay, Inc. specializes in Search Engine Optimization and Technical evaluation and Development.  These services include but are not limited to providing on page edits and clarifications, fixing technical errors and supporting and producing “engagement objects” which include video, audio and blogs.  Bruce Clay, Inc also provides pay per click and analytics services as well as “Siloing”, a process in which keywords and common search phrases or “themes” are actually applied to the navigation and content of a site.  Mr. Clay shared that Siloing has the potential to increase your traffic up to 300% over a period of just a few short months.

Mr. Clay shares the position that while attendance at this years SES CHICAGO was down over last years that it’s drop in attendance was not out of alignment with other SES shows nation-wide.  In addition he shared that session attendance vs. public attendance did not appear to be down, “I was very pleased with session attendance this year.”

On an industry wide perspective Clay agrees with other presenters, the SEO and SEM industries continue to show growth both in jobs, revenue and savings offered to organizations in their marketing efforts.  Companies are becoming ever more “Search Traffic Aware” as SEO as an industry becomes more and more complex, he jests that in SEO, “every Monday it’s a new industry.”

Bruce Clay cites the importance of RANKING, TRAFFIC and CONVERSION in an individuals and companies SEO efforts.  He shares that if your SEO efforts or providers are simply delivering ranking then they are not providing SEO.  SEO efforts need to translate into TRAFFIC and ultimately CONVERSION.
