Unemployment Rate Remains At 7.8%: NEW OUTPLACEMENT MODEL PROVIDES THE REMEDY!

Despite creating 155,000 new jobs, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported today that the unemployment rate remained near the dangerous 8% level, which it sustained recently for a record 43 straight months! This means that 22,700,000 Americans are either unemployed, underemployed or have just given up looking! We have the solution!

In partnership with several leading experts in automation and continuous improvement we have engineered a new, standardized, trademarked, low-cost alternative to outplacement, called World2Work™. Unlike the traditional outplacement model, which has been in existence for over 50 years and is offered primarily to only upper management, World2Work™ delivers exponentially more benefits to job seekers for substantially less cost to employers.

For  job seekers, there are four key components:

  1. Core training. Please go to http://www.strategicsearch.com/interview-preparation-tips/interview-preparation-tips.php for more details.
  2. Presentational skills guidance.
  3. Resume development.
  4. Online research including instruction on harnessing the power of online job boards like Monster and CareerBuilder.

Everything you will need to land your next job! Furthermore, we will be able to deliver this needed training to significantly more of the 1 in 6 Americans who is either unemployed, underemployed (and involuntarily working part-time) or have just given up. This is the case because we will provide employers more for less. As a result, they will be more willing to provide this service to exponentially more of their displaced workers!

For employers we have three major benefits over traditional outplacement:

  1. 1/10 the cost.
  2. Exponentially more good will.
  3. Scalability through standardization.

Because of how we formulated World2Work™ we will be able to provide it to employers for only 10% of their current outplacement cost! As a result, they will be more willing and able to provide this needed training to 10 times as many of their displaced workers because: a) it will cost them less and b) it will provide them a lot more good will. This is extremely important because, with the proliferation of social media like Twitter and sites like http://www.glassdoor.com, disgruntled, ex-employees can more quickly and easily poison a company’s reputation after a major layoff. As a result, our program will allow employers to be more generous because it will be in their own best interests to do so!

Currently, only a few companies offer outplacement, to only a limited sampling frame of their displaced workers and with only very limited success. Two major impediments are:

  1. Traditional outplacement’s high cost (e.g. $10,000 or more per person).
  2. A lot of variation in the deployment due to the norm being very counselor-centric (i.e. subjectively based upon the abilities of a given practitioner).

Instead, we studied and borrowed ideas from successful, standardized, self-help, group models like http://www.weightwatchers.com Weight Watchers (W.W.), which have been perfected over many, many decades. Our analysis shows that W.W. has succeeded in helping exponentially more people at a far lower cost than one-on-one therapies. We will do the same for career coaching and outplacement.

Though no one can master job-hunting during one session, our main goal is to provide the necessary tools and group, self-help framework to ensure continued future success. Furthermore, our research shows that many related experts currently exist across the country. Unfortunately, they lack standardization and interconnection. Our hope is, with the success of this program, we will attract many of these resources under one umbrella and standardize the delivery model to more quickly and efficiently address the needs of the growing masses of job seekers.
