This is due to the importance of engineers to future company products and earnings.<\/p><h2>U.S. Bureau Of Labor Statistics | Jobs Gains Surge<\/h2><p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bls.gov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Labor Department\u2019s Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS)<\/a> reported today that 638,000 more new non-farm jobs were added in October. This again lowered the unemployment rate by 1% to 6.8%.<\/p><p>Numerous employment sectors added jobs. This included Leisure and Hospitality, which added another 271,000 jobs, Healthcare &amp; Social Assistance added 79,000 jobs and Professional and Business Services rising by a whopping 208,000 jobs.<\/p><p>Additionally, Retail Trade added 104,000 jobs, <a href=\"https:\/\/strategicsearch.com\/services-for-job-seekers\/manufacturing-recruitment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Manufacturing<\/a>, had an employment increase of 38,000 jobs and Transportation &amp; Warehousing, which was up by another 63,000 jobs.<\/p><h2>Engineering Recruiting Adding A lot More Jobs Candidates<\/h2><p>Engineering is one of the most rewarding and fun professions in the world. A degree in any engineering field can almost instantly create you a job with a huge salary and also take you all over the world. As a result, engineering job recruiting is continuing at a breakneck pace.<\/p><p>Engineering jobs recruiting is growing in cutting-edge fields like <a href=\"https:\/\/strategicsearch.com\/artificial-intelligence-ai\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">artificial intelligence or AI<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/strategicsearch.com\/virtual-reality-augmented-reality\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">virtual reality or VR, augmented reality or AR<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/strategicsearch.com\/robotics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">robotics<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/strategicsearch.com\/internet-of-things-iot\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">internet of things or IoT<\/a>. Increased engineering recruitment from these fields is created a void of engineers in other industries.<\/p><p>Because of this increased engineering recruiting appetite in these cutting-edge fields, engineer jobs are going unfilled in other fields. The increased recruiting needs for engineering talent for algorithms, smart machines and natural language processing (NLP) algorithms, big data and data analytics has created a \u201cbrain drain\u201d of engineers needed to perform key <a href=\"https:\/\/strategicsearch.com\/services-for-job-seekers\/tech-recruitment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">technical<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/strategicsearch.com\/services-for-job-seekers\/rd-recruitment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">research and development or R&amp;D<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/strategicsearch.com\/services-for-job-seekers\/scientific-recruitment-service\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">scientific<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/strategicsearch.com\/services-for-job-seekers\/recruiting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">information technology or IT<\/a> and manufacturing technology roles in more traditional industries.<\/p><h2>More Efforts Needed To Supply Key Engineers For Recruiting<\/h2><p>Much more needs to be done by government to assist engineering recruiting efforts. For example, greater investments in <a href=\"https:\/\/strategicsearch.com\/technical-recruiting-blog\/stem-education-improvement-answer-high-paying-jobs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">STEM programs<\/a> including recruiting more talented STEM teachers for minting future engineering contributors and leaders. This can have peripheral benefits on recruitment of other job areas.<\/p><p>Additionally, within companies, staffing departments need to improve their engineering recruiting efforts. One way to do so is reviewing your company\u2019s overall message to ensure that you have positioned yourselves as a viable place for engineers to work.<\/p><p>Additionally, staffing managers can identify better methods for recruiting candidates for their companies.
