Although many technology giants have announced major layoffs, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"quoteinbody-quotenamecontainer\">Microsoft<\/span><span class=\"apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/a>laying off 10,000 of its employees and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Amazon<\/a> cutting 18,000 or 6% of its workers, <a href=\"https:\/\/strategicsearch.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">our entire recruitment team<\/a> continues to be inundated with engineer recruitment requests!<\/p><\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div><p>Additionally, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bls.gov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the BLS (Bureau of Labor Statistics)<\/a> just revealed that the U.S. employers added 339,000 Jobs last month (May)! Moreover, anecdotally, we believe that the real unemployment rate for engineering talent continues to be near zero. Furthermore, some entry-level engineers can earn more than $250,000 at some of the highest paying tech firms.<\/p><\/div><div><p>Based on more than 150,000 salary submissions,<span class=\"apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>their research<span class=\"apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>indicates that entry-level engineers with up to only two years of experience can command a salary of up to $274,000 from New York&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.twosigma.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Two Sigma<\/a>, which specializes in applying data science to the financial services industry. Additionally, <a href=\"https:\/\/stripe.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Stripe<\/a>, an online payment specialist, is offering around $266,000, and <a href=\"https:\/\/getcruise.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cruise<\/a>, a self-driving car company is offering $238,000. All for junior engineers with 0-2 years\u2019 experience!<\/p><\/div><div><p>On the standard engineering grade of 3-5 years\u2019 experience, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.databricks.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Databricks<\/a>, an Enterprise software company, is offering the highest salaries at around $443,000. Cruise and online gaming platform <a href=\"https:\/\/www.roblox.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Roblox<\/a> came in second and third, respectively with $361,000 and $354,000.<\/p><\/div><div><p>At the top end of the scale, a principal engineer, with 5-10 years or more experience, can earn $1,044,000 with social media giant <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook<\/a>.
